Material--

2" X 6" wood
Scoll saw
Scroll saw blades #5 and #9
Small drill bit
Sandpaper
Spray adhesive

Paint--

Delta Ceramcoat:
Butter Yellow
Black
Light Ivory
Christmas Green

DecoArt Americana
Country Red



Instructions--

Cut out chicken pattern leaving about 1/2" of paper
around pattern. Spray pattern with adhesive. Apply
to 2" X 6" wood.

Use #9 scroll saw blade to saw outline of chicken.
Drill small hole at point of heart. Use #5 blade to
saw heart. Sandpaper smooth prior to painting.

Paint: Base coat the bodies with Christmas Green. Paint the beak Butter Yellow and and Country Red where picture shows. Add an eye in black. Paint the hearts Light Ivory. After hearts are dry, use a fine brush to paint the lines in the heart with Christmas Green.
Dip a flat brush (or just a fat brush) into Ivory, then the green. Blot most of the paint off onto a paper towel, then paint the swirls for the tail.
When dry, apply Folk Art Antiquing medium or stain to the roosters, wiping it into the dried paint until you achieve your antique looking color. Let dry.
