    Pattern:

Materials:

    Delta Ceramcoat Paint:
    Light Ivory
    Black
    Tangerine
    Liquid Stain - Fruitwood

SUPPLIES:

3/4" & 1/2" Screw Hole Buttons
5 black buttons
1/3" yd off-white Flannel or soft felt
2 Scraps of 24"x2" Flannel
1/4" red ribbon 12" long
little flower for hat
14" long 22 gauge wire for hanging
Hot Glue
Cedar wood

BEGIN:

Tape the pattern pieces together. Cut the snow couple out of cedar wood (rough side will be the front of your snowcouple). Basecoat the rough side of each snow person with 2 coats of light ivory. Rub stain lightly on all surfaces. Paint the 2 wood buttons tangerine (for noses).

FACE:

Hot glue the noses onto the snow couple where indicated in the pattern. Using a toothpick or stylus (or even the handle end of a paintbrush) and black paint, make 2 dots for the eyes and a half circle of dots for the mouths. Use a little blush on each cheek.

HAT and SCARFS:

Cut a scarf for each snow person out of flannel - 2" wide by 26" long. His: Wrap the scarf around his neck. Let the ends hang down. Hot glue around neck to keep it in place. Hers: Wrap the scarf around her neck. Tie it into a bow and hot glue in place. Finish by cutting the ends of the scarfs to the length you desire.

Using a soft felt or flannel or something similar, cut the hat top piece (circle) out of the material. Cut another piece 11 1/2" long and 6" wide. To assemble hat: Fold the 11 1/2" long piece in half lengthwise. Use a couple small drops of glue inside the piece to keep it folded. Overlap the back joint and hot glue it together...it will now be a small circle. Using the round piece you cut from the pattern, push it up inside the circle you just created. The round piece is now the top of the hat. Hot glue it to the inside of the circle piece. Add red ribbon around it (see photo) about 1/2" from the bottom of the hat. Add the little flower.

ASSEMBLY:

Hot glue hat to Mrs. Snowhappy's head. Add buttons to each snow person (if you don't have large buttons for Mr. Snowhappy, you can use wood discs painted black with 2 dots painted on them for the button holes). Staple the 14" wire onto the back of their heads if you want them to hang. With black paint or a black permanent marker, write Happy Holidays on Mr. Snowhappy and Winter Welcome on Mrs. Snowhappy!
